Boatshare
Some of the narrowboats we produce are placed on our boatsharing scheme. From as little as just two or several people wishing to form a private syndicate sharing a boat. Initially you will purchase a share in the boat and then contribute towards the annual running/maintenance costs. You will be entitled to use the boat for as many weeks that your share entitles at no further cost other than the fuel/gas you use.
The benefits mean that narrowboating becomes affordable. At any time you can sell the share if your circumstances change.
The scheme is self managing, so unlike some co-ownership schemes no other party retains a financial interest in the boat. There is a small one off fee which we charge to cover the administration and issuing of the share certificate but from then on the syndicate makes it own decisions on how to run the scheme. Obviously we can give help and guidance on the best way to run the syndicate.
We generally fit-out new boats to a high specification and these are more suited to a smaller syndicate whose co-owners have some experience of narrowboating and understand how to operate a narrowboat. Syndicates which we have set up in the past sometimes inform us of a share availability so we can help them to find a suitable applicant. Alternatively you can register your
